"stock" camber changes for 03/04

Someone told me that there is some offical Ford maintenance manual that states that enlarging the groves by 5mm where the front stuts are attached is considered "a normal adjustment" and therefore, would not blow the car out of a pure stock class for Autocross. I am trying to get more front negative camber without going with camber plates, which would put me in a non-stock class.

Anyone else heard this? Any more details?

thanks
