looks great
![]() I did a similar thing, opened up the vents but did not bother to put the blanket back in since it was holding water and was getting musty. With the blanket out and silver paint really wakes up the engine bay when the hood is raised. I am not sure if I will be putting it back in.

Looks great
I have an 03 Red Vert 10th Anv and I want to do my liner. Did you remove the liner before you painted?? I was going go remove mine, but the edges were flaking and parts of it are glued. If you removed yours are there any tips you can give me? I am in New Hampshire and I figured doing the liner would be a good winter project.

Use care when taking the plastic clips out since the liner is easily damaged when removing them. I ripped the corner of mine off by accident so it remained off. I have not noticed any damage to the paint at all from heat of the engine. One thing I did notice without the blanket is that the supercharger can be heard when not under boost and is much louder at WOT.
