newbie in the OC

Hey guys first timer here, im picking up my 2003 Ford SVT Cobra friday from Chino Hills ford. Im so giddy im like a kid in a candy store.

The car was owned by the fleet manager there and he set the car up with a lot of custom engine work, BBK throtle body and cold air intake, Bassani exhaust (from what i was told, but dosnt sound like it) and it was dyno'd at 600+ RWHP and runs mid to hi 10s in the 1/4 and the best part of the whole deal is im geting a 4year 48000 mile warrenty on it!

Im going to post a pix as soon as i can get a charge to my camera so i can up load.
o yea did i mention that it only has 44,000 miles and it was 70% freeway miles!

maybe if you keep taking the car back to that specific dealer they'll keep you in warranty. That's atypical service right there & you're lucky to have a mod-friendly dealer to go to. Now, post them pics & slips!

A big congrats to you there man! Wish I could post a pic of mine doing a burnout but everytime I go to drag day, no one ever gets one of me in action. The best I can do is my autocross pic!

By the way, I was not holding the brake on that one, it was from a dead start!

well i ended up going to the dealership, found a few problums after my mechanic did a detailed check on it. so i walked away from the deal, 72hrs later i god answered my prayers a Black coupe 2001 for $17,000. Drove down with my mechanics and best friend, took a test drive and did a compleat inspection and bam, its mine. here she is with my best friends 2001 silver convertable cobra.

O yea it also has a MAC Cold air intake (replacing w a diffrent one) and eiback springs, new K member, and some other goodies.

well funny thing about tht 03 was i hurd that the person who i was bidding aginst took it out for a test drive a few days later and crashed it.

im happy with my little investment. its def what i was wanting + more. i took it through some local canyon runs at 120+ with a couple g35, 3 EVO's, about 9 STI's , and a Porsche, and some other cars w a ton of mods...(i was the only mustang cause my friend was at work an couldnt make it down. but out of all the cars only me, the Porsche, and one of the evos made it out w/o lossing controle and spinning. but the thing i love more than anything else is the fact when a rice rocket pulls up next to me at a light and rev's his little 2L vs my 4.6 i can smash him, not even trying.

i will prob never go back to any other car... i was already partial to ford's for there trucks and now that i have this car i absolutaly love them.

hope to pick up a Sport track adrenilan as well when it comes out.
