Outer Banks Outing?

I know it is early for this, but it is too late for this season, so let's get a good turnout for this, it should be fun!

Ok, I am going to try and line up this thing. So, I would like everyones input. I am interested in doing a get together at the Outer Banks of North Carolina, around Nags Head. I would like to do a lighthouse jaunt, cruise to the lighthouses, photograph, etc. Maybe stop for ice cream/lunch along the way.

If you have never been to this part of the coast, you are in for a treat. The best sand, surf, and scenery along the eastern seaboard, in my opinion.

As soon as I get a general idea of what everyone would like, I will line up a hotel, and map out a plan to cruise.

I love the Outer Banks! <--- Me to. Thats why my wife and I move from Ohio to live on the Outer Banks. Plan on buying my first house at the beach. I have always wanted to have some beach property.

January --, 2007 - SCMC on Track at Victory Lane Karting

Somewhere in here we will be adding a "Carolina Cruise-in" at Red Brick Pizza, a Dyno Day at MM Performance, and maybe a mountain cruise up Hwy 11 since we got rained out last year. The Dragon Run 6 will consist of a three day event with a cavern tour on Friday, Car Show on Saturday, and Dragon Run on Sunday. This year I plan to take Monday off so we won't have to cut out early like we did last year and can do the entire run. I thought we could have done the Outer Banks trip in the Spring, maybe last April early May but if you all want to set it up, please do so by all means.

Yeah you can still get good deals on cottages in April or May, but the end of may is when the price sky rocket.

I have noticed, that the prices are not near as bad as some beaches. Plus, the Outer Banks offer the best sand/surf on the eastern seaboard.

i have herd that before. I know that the surf is really good on Hatteras Island.
