Full day working on the Cobra

Well, spent a full day working on the new cobra. Installed a class I hitch and wire harness, with spacers to pull my new utility trailer for the race gear and tires. The installed the steeda front sway bar off the old cobra. Then did the begining of the year oil change with Royal Purple. Switched out the plugs with new NGK TR6's gap@ .38 (first change on the new cobra). The installed 3 of the new billetflow idlers and new Gatorback belt. Still running stock pulley, but the 2.76 and aux idler are ready and waiting with my new Xcal2 in a few weeks (hoping for at least 450/450). Then I spent 2 hours pulling out my dash to install a boost overlay sticker, so I will be able to see how many lbs I am pushing soon. What A pain, but looks good finished. Got to love a full day in the garage! Can't wait to see my fellow buckeyes in a few weeks.

Congrats. Those boost overlays can be a B**ch to install, but they do look great afterwards. Post some pictures when you can.

Sounds like a good day Mike. Now you are just itching to get her out on the track. Nothing like a little case of spring fever to get the TRACK addiction going.

You have no idea. Sitting up here in rainy 40 degree weather, knowing that all my buddies are down on the track is just killing me. Let alone, now I have to go help my mother-in-law move this weekend... . As soon as the weather breaks, I will take some pics, I still don't have any pics of the new ride. Tear up the track for me guys!!! CAn't wait to hear the stories, and see some movies rick

Did you have to do anything special to add the hitch? Was it one listed for a Mustang GT?

Most look at you funny about putting a hitch on a Cobra but comes in handy for halling to track or hauling the jet ski to the lake for the day, and sure looks good doing it, just not the time for the unplanned street race.
