any danger in this?

I couldnt get ahold of my tuner so ill throw it out there. I have an sct tune with a 6lb lower and alternator pulley, now I was wondering can I change my idlers and upper (if I can do so what do u suggest a 2.75, or 2.80). I know it will have to be retuned but will I need to have those cooling mods, such as the resivoir tank. Since I have a red cobra I was thinking of going to some red motoblue pulleys. Im sure ill need a bigger belt but is there any danger to having all those pulleys done????

I've seen some 2 or 4# lowers with a 2.75 but I haven't seen a 6# lower with that upper. That's not to say that it hasn't been done. That would be alot of boost. mabye a 2.93 pulley with the 6# lower? I have a 2.76 billetflow and am about to put on a 2# lower next weekend. I am going to get a new heat exchanger over the summer. You will be producing alot of heat with the upper/lower combo and will need some cooling mods. Hope this helps.

spincobra, Do you have a ported blower???? If not a 2.76,2.8 will do nothing but create more heat.... I have a 4lb lower that I just installed with a 2.8 upper and I lost HP and only picked up 12 TQ with 4lb extra boost it all the heat the blower makes.... I also have a Steigy Stage 4 ported blower on the way thats why I already changed my lower... I also have a 2.5 gal. intercooler tank going in....Oh billetflow 4 piece idler's is the way to go here are some pic's of my 4 piece billetflow ider's Red.........

Is the 485hp 515tq with the 4# lower and the 2.8 upper? What was your numbers before if these are your current numbers. I'm planning on getting a port later this summer. I have the 2.76 and a 2# lower about to be installed with the intercooler to follow. Do you think your power would have been better if you had the intercooler tank in or mabye a heat exchanger installed?

idlers, no danger. But I'd do Metco (again & again) because they're hardened outers won't scratch or fade. BF will, especially on a daily driver.

upper pulley? Reichard Racing & let your tuner do his thing immediately after you install it or just let them put it on for you
