I got her up to 110...then the hood started warbling! I don't think those nostrils are too aerodynamic!

I went and buried the speedo the other day just to say I tried it and still had plenty left. I not sure after buring the needle. The road I was on is straight as an arrow and no side streets and out on the boondocks. I thought the car felt very stable still. I now I will not do it again once was enough just see what it would do.

I've been up to around 145, but that's a one time thing for me. I don't plan on doing any high speed runs like that on the highway anymore.

Considering the distance beyond 160 the indicator went my guess would be in the neighborhood of 175 and I had one more gear to use. I had no intentions of finding out how fast it would bo beyond that which was more than I expected. However, it was interesting to see that GTO dissapear in the distance behind me.

Just over the 140 mark, I wanted to push it a little more, but it's just too damn scary without a rollcage and some better saftybelts.

How was the vacation? I had to try it on the deserted road. Where we were at would have been a bad place,But it would have been good.

135 MPH at Road America. Fuel cut-off occurs at 7200 RPM according to my tachometer. With 3.73 rear gears and a T-45 transmission in 4th gear at 7000 RPM, 135 MPH is it. 5th gear is useless at that speed as the .67 ratio is a highway cruising gear. The car actually slows if you shift to 5th as the engine is not making enough power to overcome the loss in mechanical advantage. Thomas Moran was hitting 165 MPH
