Another NEPA Member.
Just wanted to say HI to all the existing members. I just purchased a 1994 Cobra and first thing I did, other than joy ride, of course, is join SCMC. I have a question for all the veteran owners out there - I just tried to replace the pony emblem on the front of the car with an after-market Cobra emblem. The pony emblem bracket is secured to the car with 2 screws that look like regular 6-point star torque screws, but have a pin extruding from the center, thus preventing a typical torque screw driver from getting into the notch without stripping it. It appears that a special tool - kind of like a hollowed-out torque driver - would be needed, but I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas on where I can get that tool or if there are other approaches I can use to swap out the emblems without ruining the original pony? Thanks for your help, and I look forward to enjoying my new car and new club membership for years to come.
Eric

Hi Eric, Welcome to the SCMC
![]() The tool you are looking for can be bought at your local tool\autoparts store, it is called a Security\Tamper-proof Torx size T-25. You can usually just buy the bit that goes into a standard screwdrivers. Here is a pricey one online for example http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog

Welcome to the club Eric. As Firme said, the security torx bits are what you need. They sell a small kit that has several sizes in it. What I like about the small kit is that you now can use them for other things like removing the MAF for cleaning, install security fasterners to your licence plate, etc.. Depending on where in NEPA you are from I may end up passing you on the highway (or probably the other way around).

A big welcome to you Eric!
FYI, We had two more PA members that joined this week, one from York and one from Pittspurgh. I think we are being overtaken by the Keystone State.
