The REAL meaning of separation of church and state!

With all the whining in the US about calling the winter holiday 'Christmas', 'Under God' in the pledge/on the dollar, etc. Here is a modern day example of what separation of church/state really means:

Cliff-notes. Hindu Indians follow a strict caste system.
Many Hindu's are converting to Buddhism, Christianity, or other religions to escape the caste system.
Response: Hindu controlled governments are passing laws that restrict/prohibit conversions or 'reclassify' some faiths as 'parts of Hinduism'.

Kind of puts the 'free exercise' clause in perspective.
