Changes to the next Mustang

Here's a list from another forum I frequent.
http://www.mustangevolution.com/ten-...ang-must-have/

I was wanting to know what ya'll thing should be changed or improved on the next Mustang.

I say weight reduction, Optional but not standard IRS, 400+ hp on the GT, Keep the price about the same, and don't make it ugly.

I have seen some spy shots of the new revised mustang, did not mention how heavy it was but some of the body lines were revamped to match that of the original concept mustang that was shown before the production 05's rolled out.

Unfortunately, none of those changes is possible. And when the Guigaro change comes along, it's going to get ugly!

I thought the Guigaro Mustang was just a concept. I hope so because I thing that a Mustang should be American desined, but thats just my opinion.

It was nothing more than a what if concept. Although Ford may offer a body kit mod as an option.

I would have to agree with JROC that the mustang needs to have a diet. Power to weight ratio needs to improve. Considering how much larger it is than the pre 05 mustangs, it needs to be reduced in size too (not by too much though, ford does not want to repeat the pinto concept of the early years). Perhaps Ford needs to hire the team of designers that built the 09 Dodge Challenger concept if they want something eye catching. That Challenger was sweet.

The only thing I didn't understand is if FoMoCo knew they were starting from scratch with the chasis, why didn't they move the engine further back to get a better weight balance on the car? Maybe then the Shelby would have been 53/47 instead of 57/43!

I agree 1000%. If your going to stretch the wheelbase 6" then Ford should have been able to center up the weight distrabution better instead of making the interior bigger. I don't know about ya'll but I've never felt crouded in the front of a Mustang and have several inches to move my seat back and I'm 6'1. I honestly feel the rear seat in a New Edge Mustang is more comfortable than they are in a S197.

I saw pictures of the new mustang concept, it may have been the Itallian design but not sure. It had some goofy flair in the rear quarter panel which looked more like a partial fin similar to the front of an 60 something corvette.

How about this for an idea, instead of designing the old jet look into the car, do something a bit different, put in some radar stealth into the design so the car has a radar profile of a small bee traveling at 180 mph.
