Brake pads?

I noticed that the stock brakes really blow on my Cobra. When the time comes to change the pads again, I'm thinking of Hawk HPS. I want to find out what other people are using. Any real world suggestions? BTW, this will be strictly street no track or autocrossing.

pads

Been using the Hawk Street pads...like getting a new car after the oem pads. Am going to try the EBC green, someone said they are as good asthe Hawk w/less dust. The Hawk Pads have been much less dusty than the oem for me.

EBC green's are good replacements and they do not dig into the rotor as much...very good street pad

I have the Hawk HPS pads on both the front and rear rotors on my car, and love them. I have no complaints what so ever. I didn't notice any difference with dust compared to the stock pads. Definately money well spent.

you might see a little difference...main thing would be on the road course, the slotted rotors would dissipate the heat a little better

I think the stock pads are very good for street driving. High Performance pads may stop you a few inches shorter but you will also have increased noise and/or rotor wear. I would stick with stock like replacements and not ultra high performance track day pads. Spend your money on something else that will make a difference. Just my two cents.

p.s. The EBC Greenstuff pads did not stop as well as the OEM pads. I threw them out after a few thousand miles.

I am running Hawk HPS pads with Brembo drilled rotors. Love it, stops great, and the best thing is there is almost NEVER brake dust on my wheels! I could drive it for two weeks straight and you couldn't tell.

The wear on the pads is also pretty nice, you'll get good life out of them.
