Does this price sound right?

I'm going to look at a 1997 Cobra coupe tomorrow with these specs. The seller is asking 18K. The car has 79000 miles on it. I know that's too much, but what do you think I should offer him?

----------------

Steeda 1/2"offset delrin a-arm w/X-2 ball joint & bumpsteer kit. Maximum Motorsports alum. rack bushings, 4-point k-member brace and caster/camber plates custom set to two easy possisions track/road.

H&R variable rate race springs w/Tokico D-spec adj. struts. Maximum Motorsports full length sub-frame connectors reinforced torque boxes. M&M torque arm, pan hard and control arms w/delrin bushings.

Vortech V-1 supercharger w/duel pumps.255 walbro in-tank/votech T-rex in-line. Modified upper plenum for SC performance. 500HP

Cervinis stalker front/rear bumpers and rockers.

Custom flowmaster exhaust, quiet at cruise,no drone. Open up the throttle, and all those ponys are heard.

Interior is stock black leather. Its gorgeous, so i did'nt change it. Mach 460 sound, Pro 5.0 shifter, firewall clutch adjuster. M&M brake pedal re-possision.(increased heal/toe). Custom throttle linkage.(no slack, increased response). SPA digital 3-stage shift light custom installed in place of dash clock.(still have clock if you want it).

I wouldn't give him more than about HALF of what he is asking. $9,000 MAYBE $10,000 for a '97 with that many miles.

The price sounds very high to me. Unless the car is a pure track car (non-streetable)then the collection of modifications do little to raise the value of the car. Much like a finished basement in a house. It helps it sell but doesn't raise the price much. Sounds like the seller is trying to recollect the money he or she invested into it. Big Daddy would know the pricing better than me so, I'll agree with $9 - 10K unless it's show quality.
