Why are my Front Calipers Bangin g Up and Down?
Just had new pads installed while the engine was being rebuilt, but both calipers clang around while I am driving...I cannot seem to figure out what holds the calipers still in the bracket...Send Help!

Because there are little spring clips that snap on the bottom and top of each pad...Sound like there loose...They are, but they will not fall out...Sounds like your problem possible..Edit: see the clips middle bottom...Those are the spring clips that go on the pads

Ahhh...I don't recall even seeing those! If for some reason they are not there, where can I get some? BTW, I did not replace the pads...someone else did...

new pads should have come with them, but the OEM ones have rubber noise isolators hat the aftermarket pads don't..
Mine make lots of noise.

Yeah, mine make that horrible metal clanging sound like the exhaust is about to fall off!

Take some high temp rtv and put it on the back where the pad meets the pistons.
That will elliminate the sound. Have the same problem with my F150 just about every other time I replace the pads. You tend to forget until you do the job without it and dam did I do that again. One of these times I'll do it right the first time.

It has just been suggested that I was sold the wrong pads...like for a GT. The little clip does not come even close to the bracket!
