SCMC/Parkway Ford 8th Annual Car Show -- August 22, 2009

Join the SCMC and Parkway Ford in Winston-Salem, NC for the 8th Annual Carolina Regional SVT Cobra, Mustang, and all Ford Show.

This event has gotten bigger and better every year and this year will be no exception. Planning has already started and Parkway Ford and the SCMC are planning new additions to the show. This post will be updated as details are finalized.

Free event shirt. The first 25 to preregister prior to August 15 (excluding display only) will receive a free event shirt.

Reminders:

Please email me with questions, comments, etc. about the show and do not try to send a private message. I have my box full and it will not allow any more messages. Emails are easier for me to organize and manage.

If you want to be in Cobra Alley let me know even though we have 30+ cars listed. We are not sure on the actual number we can get on the street and will park as many SVT Cobras and Shebly GT 500s as we can in Cobra Alley.

Event Staff (other than those Tony said need to be at the show before 8 AM) do not have to be there early unless I have corresponded with you and you are willing to help with traffic control.

If you have two way radios, please bring them to the show. The use of radio communications makes things much easier. If you have more than one, please bring all you have to share with those that do not have them. Remember to check the batteries or recharge them so you don't end up with dead batteries.

We would like to have 25 people to assist at the show as event helpers and judges for the event. As a thank you for helping with the event you will receive a free event shirt. (limit 1 shirt per person, you wont get 2 shirts if you also preregister)

Please post in this thread if you are willing to help out at the event and be sure to give me your name and shirt size.

Parkway Ford is also working with the food vendor to provide a free lunch for those that help at the event this year as their thank you for helping.

Everyone else planning to attend, please preregister too! The primary complaint we get about the show is having to wait in line to register. Preregistering will get you in faster and keep you from having to wait in a long line with everyone else. Not to mention you will get a free shirt if you are one of the first 25 to preregister.

Online registration should also be available in the SCMC store very soon.

Be sure to preregister so you don't get caught waiting in the long line to register on Saturday morning! Plus, you'll save some $$ by preregistering.

Parkway has greatly increased their advertising so we expect to go well over last year's attendance and blow past 250 this year.
