Curious what tires (street tires or Slicks) you use for Open Track Events?

I use the Toyo RA1 when the track is dry. Used my BFG KDWS on the last track day in the wet and they did great.

Hoosier R6s for the dry. My wet set came with the car when I bought it and I don't know what they are, but I know they DON'T work. Spend most of the time looking at the windshields of on coming traffic, or in the hot pit talking about BLACK FLAGS. Need to find me another set of wets

I found Sumitomo's some years ago and like their dry weather performance...especially when you account for cost!!!

The wet...nothing seems to stand out, so I just keep it slow!

I've had great luck with Hoosier Koni Challenge scrubs and Hoosier R6s, both for dry conditions only.

I've heard good things about the new Kumho V710s and BFG R1s too.

How fast do the Koni scrubs go off for you? I have a couple friends running them, and while a great value, they were starting to get the hocky puck syndrom after a few laps.

After starting on KDs, I had Avon Tech Rs a couple years ago, and I liked them. Then a set of Toyo RA1s-shaved, and they were OK, but won't stick like a 40 UTQG.
I'm now on the BFG R1s and loving it!
