Cool How's It Feel?

Dear Modular SVT Owners:

Since Saturday I will be taking delivery of a 2010 SVT Cobra, (and this is the first time in over 25 years I have driven a stick shift) I was wondering if anyone has any "words of advise" as I drive the 4 hour trip from Laurens, SC to Knoxville, TN in a new Cobra???? (Is there a max. speed for first driving a new SVT Cobra???) Any help will be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Lou.Marino (AKA "2K10 KING COBRA")

Sweeeeeet! You'll drive a couple of hundred miles from SC to TN and I would drive at varying speeds to break the engine in. Don't use the cruise control till after your road trip and definitely "ENJOY THE RIDE!!!"

I just turned 400 miles on my 2009 and I'm starting to hear the supercharger more. The ride is so much better than my 04 but it does seem to take a little longer to spool up.

I've set your status to "SCMC member" so you can post pics in the snakepit! Love that Grabber Blue!!

Welcome to the SCMC!

P.S. I moved this to the Shelby GT 500 forum...

Thanks For The Advise!

Thanks to all the members who gave me their advise for last weekend's trip from Laurens, SC to Knoxville, TN in my new 2010 SVT Cobra in Grabber Blue. It sure did help, since the Ford dealer gave me no advise on this topic.

I have put 500 miles on the Cobra in 5 days! It is taking some time to "learn" how to drive a 6-speed, however. I have enjoyed the navagation and Sync system, too.

Eventhough, I ordered this Cobra "stripes-delete" I will be putting G.T. 500 rocker panel stripes in the 1968 Cobra-style, and adding decals from the 1978 King Cobra. I hope this will make the car appear more like a Cobra, than Shelby had intended.

I will be attending the Ted Russell show and Ray Viles show in October in Knoxville. I hope to see some of you there!
