12 years in the making....

Hello all,
My name is Mario, I live in Florida, and have the great opportunity to buy this 98 Cobra Vert, with 66k on the clock, yes only 66,000 miles. Bit of history:
Car was originally ordered and purchased by my uncle in 98'. I was lucky enough to take the car to my High School prom with a scant 300 miles in it. (He had a 94' Vette I was originally promised but didn't mind he traded it).

Over the years I would take the car and wash/wax it for em, or change the oil as needed, reminding him that IF he ever sold that car, I would be the first contacted. Period end of story. In the last 2 years, he started to neglect the car. During the last oil change I did it was 2 quarts low, he told me it had been a year or more since it was last changed. SOoo he blew the motor, complete loss. I guess he had a lot of money burnin' a hole in his pocket, so in went a new Ford Racing Crate Long block. Followed by a new paint, tires, and rebuilt tranny (2nd and 3rd gears were shot not my doing i swear). He called me a month and a half ago and told me he was tired of it and wanted to sell it to me. When he told me the price, I IMMEDIATELY drove to his house and gave him a check. (really it was that good) He gave me TONS of paperwork, including recipes for all of the recent work that was done to it totaling a touch over $13k. (again he must really love me because I didn't pay half that!)

Of course there's things I need to address, like if I'm going to put 33X12.50's mud tires on it, or maybe just lower it (what the hell was ford thinking???) Do a complete exhaust, pulleys, intake etc. But all in due time. Sorry if you got a bit tired of my thread, I tend babble. Any how hope to speak with you all, and tap into the knowledge all of you have.

Sounds like you're a happy camper, nothing wrong with that.

Congrats on the new Snake purchase!
