RIP Bill Rowe

On Tuesday evening, several friends went to GingerMan Raceway for some late afternoon track time and Bill Rowe had an incident during a test-n-tune session in his Mustang. He was running the first session when apparantly Bill went off in turn 9 (left hander) and into a turn station. Early reports say he was unresponsive when the turn workers approached him. It appears (not confirmed) that he suffered from a medical condition (heart attack?). He passed away last night 8/24/2010.

Details of funeral arrangements will be provided in this thread when available.

Please have Bill's wife Carol, their daughters Jennifer and Christy in your thoughts.

That is so very sad. I've known Bill for many years and he was always helpful at our events. He will be missed a lot and our prayers go out to his family and friends.

Unhappy

Very sad to hear.

Bill was a instructor for the SCMC & SVTOA Gingerman track events for as long as I can remember. He was my instructor back in '04.

Godspeed Bill
