01 cobra springs

Im wanting to lower my 2001 cobra a little bit and ive heard not to cut my springs if they are progressive rate that if they were linear rate then i would be ok to cut my springs? Is the stock springs on the 2001 cobras linear or progressive? Any advice is helpful! thanks guys!

I'd recommend against cutting the springs, and instead replace them with a new spring. I ran Eibach Sportline's on my GT, and loved 'em.

It would not be wise to cut your springs. Although you can do it physically, the springs were not designed to be cut. Best bet is to buy aftermarket and a progressive rate spring. I would say your stock springs are progressive rate, too.
