rear end 03 cobra R 10th Annv.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of rebuilding a rear end.
This is way beyond my skills .
At 45,000 Mi. I just had my second clutch installed.-"I Love N.Y."
My Ford Service manager said to me: "Stephen; do yourself a favor - Unload that car." " The rear end is going; you don't have much time."
I love this car & don't want to sell it.
Is the cost of the rear end that prohibitive ?
Steve

I would think it would be a little pricey to repair or replace but did you ever think of maybe putting a live straight axle in it?

Not too expensive ... use Shelby GT500 clutches (sell for about $150-200), Gears are about $175.00 new from just about anywhere, if the whole set-up is going you can get a Torson set-up for under $800.00. Labor ... $300.00 - $500.00. Forget the live axle ... gotta love the IRS.
