NMRA to Host All-SVT True Street Class at Budds Creek, Maryland, Event

The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals series is pleased to announce that it will host a special All-SVT True Street class at its Budds Creek, Maryland, event as a part of the 3rd Annual SVT Shootout. The SVT Shootout takes place at the SCT NMRA Ford Nationals the weekend of May 1-3, 2015 and is presented by SVTPerformance.com. The HP Tuners All-SVT True Street class, which is brought to you by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, brings together some of the coolest street-legal SVT Mustangs and Fords for national glory!

Never raced your SVT vehicle before? No problem! The All-SVT True Street class is just for you as NMRA makes drag racing easy. Your vehicle must be licensed, insured, and truly streetable. Following a 30-mile cruise through the Maryland countryside, you will come back to the track for a brief cool-down period and then make 3 back-to-back passes down the ¼ mile. REACTION TIME DOESN’T MATTER! When the tree comes down you leave the line when you want. Winners will be the racers whose 3 pass averages are closest to 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9 seconds. The overall winner will be the racer with the fastest 3-pass average and will be hailed the King of SVT True Street!

The All-SVT True Street class takes place on Saturday, May 2nd, and racers will compete for the following cash and prizes:

• Winner: $250 + 6’ Trophy!
• Runner-Up: $100 + Plaque
• $100 + Plaque to Each Winner of the 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 Second Averages

The best part is that All-SVT True Street winners have a chance to be published in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Ford magazine!

The SVT Shootout, Presented by SVTPerformance.com and SCT, will be one of largest gatherings of SVT vehicles in the U.S. The event begins with an SVT Shootout Racer Appreciation Party on Friday, May 1st, at the track from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm that features a huge free parts raffle. There will be special drag racing categories such as All-SVT True Street, VMP Superchargers Terminator/GT500 Shootout, and Detroit Locker Truck & Lightning. Prefer to show your SVT vehicle? The SVT Shootout Car Show on Saturday, May 2nd, will give away tons of awards exclusive to SVT vehicles.
