Lightning Bob is now here!

Hi all,

I'd like to introduce myself. I go by Lightning Bob on all of the Lightning forums so I carried that name over to this board as well. I am one of the moderators on the National Lightning Owners Club site(nloc.net), and own among other things a True Blue 02 Lightning (my third Lightning). I also have an 1999 supercharged Cobra coupe which I think I would like to start driving at road course events. I was directed to this site by another Cobra owner I recently met. My Cobra's IRS (and clutch) didn't last long from the punishment of drag racing, but at this point I am unwilling to swap out the rear axle as I have yet to try to autocross it. I do drag race my Lightning, and currently have it running mid 12's in the 1/4 mile. Let me know who else is on this board, especially if you live in the midwest.

Hope to see you all on a track soon,

Welcome Bob.
I believe I met you at Daves place when we had the lightning vs Rt shootout last year? I think I remember you talking about owning a 99 Cobra.

Our club is having a track event at the new track in Council Bluffs Iowa in October. We would love to see you bring a toy out and join us.

Brian

I saw the upcoming Council Bluffs event posted with your name on it. I knew it was you, and figured I would get back to you. Do you still have a Lightning too, or are the "R" and "R" killer enough. I may be able to make the CB event. It depends on work(or lack thereof). I'll let you know as the time gets closer.

Sounds great, Bob. After meeting you, I know you will have a blast with this group, we have some real charactors in here.
