Thumbs up

Hey Ken,
Some nice shots of the R running around the course at Pocono. I cant wait to get the 95R out on a road course. I just got my new wheels yesterday from California and of course UPS damaged one of them. I hate that company. this will be the 5th time they have damaged parts on delivery to me. some of the parts suppliers like PPI and Gene Evans Ford are tired of UPS and their abuses and only use Fed-ex for their shipments. I applaud them for taking the iniative. I hope other Parts suppliers follow them. But wait until you see these wheels I had custom polished and painted in California. they look awesome. I finally got over here to post on the website. I will talk to you soon. Later Steve.

hey steve! glad you made it over! yeah, we've had damaged package problems with UPS also....fedex is much better, but you pay a bit more for it....but in some cases (like wheels) its well worth it....

Yeah, Fed-ex has gotten very competitve with their rates compared to UPS. I have been shipping out my own parts lately using Fed-ex and have not had a problem. its definitely worth paying a little more and not have the headaches I have had with UPS. now I have to send the one wheel back to them so they can repair it and repaint. it will probably be another week and a half. what a pain in the ass. later, Steve.

Hey Ken,
All these photos were taken this past weekend at Pocono. Looks like you had some nice machines keeping the R company out there. where was the 95 from and was it a real R.
How do they work it at PDA. Are you racing against time or do you run against the field. looks like alot of fun. can't wait to get out there. later, Steve.

Steve,
Yes, all the photos were from this past weekend. I had just about everything imaginable out there with me: Ferraris, Porsches, Vettes, Vipers, two jags, a Lincoln LS, and a bunch of Cobra kit cars from clubcobra.com. There were 2 95 R's there, one was Phil from out on Long Island, and the other guy left before I could talk to him. These are not timed laps, just open track time, no pressure, lots of fun. Passing is allowed in every class except green/novice. I had a great time, although not everone was giving point-by signals, creating some confusion with passing. There were also 2 spots where the track itself was beat-up, and I'm talking REALLY BAD ripples, 4 feet accross, right where I wanted to apex those turns....hopefully they will re-pave them ASAP, but from what I heard, its been that way for a while....GRRRRR!!!! Check the PDA schedule; I'd like to run another day out there, possibly on a different course....there are three track configurations at pocono; we ran the north course this past weekend. The long course is supposed to be real fast, whereas the north, south, and east courses are better for learning how to drive the track and apex turns without having to go 160mph plus on the straights. On the north course, I was up around 120 on the nascar portion of the track. The facilities are nice, but there is no gas at the track, and food was limited to a small catering trailer, but you could drive a short distance up the road for gas and eats. The pits were roomy, as we had a sell-out day, and garages were available to about 35-40 cars, on a first come, first serve basis. I'm really considering the Glen in October (I had hoped to go in august with the rochester shelby club, but they sold out too early)

Lightbulb hello

Green was allowed to pass silly..I still liked Gingerman better, we got to ride together all day plus we got alot of track time. We sat way too much at pocono and I didnt like the way they ran things. I realize at times insurance is a factor, but all in all there was alot I didnt like abt pocono. And yes, no more novice class for me,LOL...
