Revs at startup
Just wondering if any other of you cobra owners cars reved up to about 2000 rpms when you start it. ( hot or cold) I'm new to the modular cars and was just wondering if this is common.
Thanks |

Yes, my 99 Cobra does that initially. It always makes me nervous because I wouldn't think that it would be good for the engine.

Mine does this, too, and I know of several others that do it.
I have seen several forum threads discussing this, and one of the reasons for it that has been thrown around is that it gets the oil up into the heads quicker for better lubrication at startup. Not sure if this is the reason, but rest assured you are not the only one experiencing it. Many Cobra owners (myself included) have mentioned that it's got a high grin factor. Love the sound, and it turns heads whenever I crank it up.
