S2000 vs Cobra and New Owner Questions?

Just traded a Honda S2000 for a grey 03 Cobra. Dealer in Charlotte has three left and has the windows stickered with a $5000 "market adjutment". He did sell the car at MSRP however.

What a difference in torque! I did like the quality and handling of the Honda but found the power to be somewhat lacking.
I have noticed a strange clicking (vibration) noise in 1st gear when letting out the clutch. Any thoughts on what this could be? Sound is only noticable at very low rpm.
Any thoughts on proper break in?
Thanks in advance.

The noise is most likely the throw out bearing. Very common.

There have been several '03 Cobras exhibiting "Clutch Noise". My dealership is replacing both the throwout bearing and the pilot bearing on Monday.

The noise is intermittent in nature and sometimes it occurs when starting to let the clutch out; other times it occurs when the clutch is fully depressed. The noise mine makes is more like a metallic squealing.

Search the various '03 forums for "Clutch Noise" or "Clutch Squeal"; you should find additional information.

does the sound happen when the clutch is depressed? And when it is occuring, does the pedal feel like it is scrubbing? Lastly, if you push in and out the clutch pedal, does the noise change and the sort of "work" itself out? My 98 has been doing that for almost a year. I had it fixed once (replaced pilot and throw-out bearings) but only lasted for 3 months. I get the car back today from getting the same thing fixed AGAIN. They said they will explain what is going on when I get there and I will try to relay it.
