SAD DAY: ARCA Death at Lowes

Not sure where it's appropriate but, an ARCA driver was killed in practice today.

Anyone have specific knowledge of the ARCA cage? Just curious.

Basically, most ARCA cars are bought off of Nascar teams. They usually run them in Nascar for several years and then sell them off. I doubt that it was a structural problem unless the car was pretty old. I thought I heard that he was T-boned and I'm not sure that anykind of cage can prevent serious injury all the time.

the car was t-boned, at 160mph. Car broke apart, and front end was on the tack while rest of car on the grass. local news said track Dr. pronounced deaad at the scene, immediately. take that as you need to. news covered it heavily here, as you can imagine.
