I'm rich

Does anyone have MTI's number? I was looking to purchase a couple of goodies to try and lean the car out a little, b/c I'm running a little too rich. I have a little bit of a gas smell in my oil and I keep fouling plugs. The nice smell that my car was putting out from the back the last time I dynoed at MTI made me think it was running rich also. I was looking to get a set of colder plugs. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

The best way to fix this problem is to have a chip done, but sense I see your running almost stock except for the O/R pipe I would say this is causing the smell you are getting.

Sense you have no cats there are a few more gasses escaping out of the exhaust and this might be what you smell.

I also believe that the car relies upon the front and rear o2 sensors in determining how lean or rich the car is and eliminating the cats you end up with a little richer running engine but nothing to be concerned about.

Look into rear o2 eliminators I think I remember reading something about if you are running an O/R pipe it is recomended that you put these on.

Hope this helps

Best Regards:
