AI Sat.
1.) Hoover 2.) Shugg 3.) Koehler AI Sun. 1.) Koehler 2.) Shugg 3.) Hoover- mechanical failure, didn't finish the race. Sun. may not be set in stone...there were some issues to be worked out. Not sure about AIX...there were some mechanical failures both days and some other incidents on Sun. so I'm not sure what the exact results were. I believe Schlickenmeyer won the AIX championship, but don't hold me to that one yet either.

Sat. AIX
1. Lester 2. Tone 3. Schlick Sun. 1. Schlick (broke the crank caused red flag. This was his only way to keep me behind him... ) 2. Tone 3. Lester (disqualified by Race Control for on track actions...) I had a decent battle on Sunday when I was stuck behind the 944 cup cars during the yellow and they decided it was prudent to go no faster than 45mph allowing koehler to catch up. We had a few laps of heated battle with some MAJOR blocking by his part, then I spun into T1 letting him by but passed him a lap later then the red came out. It was a good weekend. Everyone better bring their HP and stones to Road Atlanta in March next year! |

BTW, congrats on finishing well. Are you going to AI next year or staying in AIX? I'm leaning towards AIX again, but I've still got time to change my mind... |

Thanks everyone for the congrats!! It's been a hell of a season. There is NO WAY I would have been able to do well if I didn't have the support of people like Jason and Robin, John, Tom, Don and Jeanine(sp??)... These people have helped me SOOO much this year and I can't accurately express the gratitude I have for them. i.e. Tom helped me rebuild my Banana Trac-loc and install a Canton pan (kept the motor alive this year, I'm certain of it!!). John helped me install the MM rear suspension (kept me competitive). Don drove to nearly every race from PA JUST to be there to help out and enjoy the races. Don - you are a nut. And Jason... well if it wasn't for Jason, I wouldn't have been able to make it to hardly any of the races after Summit Point in June. He helped me rebuild the car after Summit Point's crash, helped me install the lexan windows, helped me on the final stages of the rear suspension (along with John), helped me with the roll cage, helped me PAINT the roll cage (no small task we've learned), helped me prep the car before every race... And the funny thing about Jason... I met him on this very board!!! And ROBIN!!! (Jason's wife) The team photographer!! LOL!!! A continual bright light.... if I listed all of the little things she has done for me(which are actually very big things), it would fill several pages.
I guess I'm just really blessed to have met such wonderful people. Without YOU, there is no way I would have been successful this season. Not a snowball's chance in hell!! Then the people of this club... Steve (you lunatic...), Kevin, Brian, Dean (we never really got to hang out when you came to Lowes), Lisa, Clarence, Big Daddy, Tom G, Stu... the people in this club have been so supportive to the entire AI series and all of it's competitors. It IS appreciated. This is the only club that repeatedly gets mentioned at AI races/outings (at least that I can ascertain...). And there's probably a reason for it. The people in this club are AWESOME. I can't wait to see more of you out there running door-to-door with us. Hoover... Tone... Pantas... I think you three are the only ones who make it out here (this forum). You guys freaking rock. This series has some of the nicest people I've ever met. People in this series help each other when they are in a bind. The guy your are racing to the finish line is always the first to ask if you need a hand with your car. Unreal. Can't wait until next year when others show up (ehhemm... Dean... Kevin... Brian?? and of course... the highly anticipated Banana II... or is it III?). Thanks everyone... can't wait for '03. Sorry for the mushy post. Call me a wuss........ Bryan |

My congrats to Shugg and Dan for their championships!!! We really need more cars for next year!!!!! We need 25 cars so we can have our own run group!!! Allmost ever weekend we have had some DIP S&%$ ruin track time for us and cut our race practice or qualifying for some stupid reason out of our control!!! So get the word out and lets get AI up and running with our own run group and really show these BOZOS what racing is all about!!!!!! I think the most I have gotten out of this year is the freinds I have made and the great times we have had together !!!! NEXT YEAR IS GOING TO BE EVEN BETTER !!!!!!!!!!
