Cobra Grill Ornament

Hello everyone. I am brand new to this. Just purchased an '03 SVT Cobra and don't have adequate words to describe this amazing machine. Makes me feel like a kid all over again, although I don't remember having ever ridden in anything like this when I was a kid.

At any rate, would appreciate any information as far as where to find/purchase a Cobra grill ornament to replace the bolt-on Mustang ornament that came with my machine.

Also, I am a beginner at this as far as mods go, and will appreciate any advice on which exhaust system would be a best replacement for the stocker, chipping, etc.

Thanks.

Snakerunner,

You can purchase the snake for the grille from just about any aftermarket company. If you buy a Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine, there are a host of vendors there. I would recommend PPI or someone else that has these grille emblems.

Congrats on your purchase, you have a great car!

Bassani and Magnaflow seem to be the best bang for the buck if you want Stainless. I went with QMP full 3" exhaust for my 03.

Congrats on the car! I assure you that it will be the highlight of your day for many months to come!

I agree w/Tony on the emblem. You need a Safety Torx to install it. For the exhaust, on mine, I went with the MagnaFlow o/r x-pipe and MagnaFlow Catback. I really like mine, it has a very unique sound to it. As for performance, I have not yet dynoed, but you can really tell a difference. I did UPR's CAI next, which seemed like it added about a pound of boost. If I had to do it over again, I would have gotten a polished CAI instead of black one.

I have yet to do the pulley and chip, but it is coming soon. I highly recommend you do searchs on this and other forums as you will find a plethora of information that I am sure will help you (I've got a folder 3" tall, lol).

Best of Luck
Chelsea

Thanks guys (and gal ! ). Appreciate you pointing me in the right directions. I don't want to mess up this incredible speed machine. It makes sense to open up the intake and exhaust as much as possible, and probably the best starting point. I do want to get the right chip. Someone mentioned a "Superchip 1100 " in an earlier message. Have any of you added mod's done by Ford?

http://www.jmschip.com/ Seems to be the "Only way to fly" on the mail-order chip market.
