brakes

OK, I know that we've beaten it to death. For street and occasional track, the Perfomance Friction Z's are a good choice for the front of my 99'.

What about the rears?

Also, autozone lists the Z's for 97-98 but not the 99's.

Gotta get ready for some hot laps at CMP.

Oh, one other ? Tire pressures? 255/45-17 SZ50's on stock rims? Good starting point? Autocross, I ran about 40 psi or so.

The Hawk HPS should be good for the rear if you are going with the Z pads. $0 PSI is a good start for tire pressures. It would be a good idea to bring and extra set of front and rear pads.

I agree with John, HPS for the rear. If you run those in the rear and the PF-Z pads in the front you should be good to go.

Hey John,
Would the HPS's for the front be better than the PF-Z's? Also, does MM give us a discount?

Jeff

I ate some rotors on track with HPS on the front, PF-Z on the front would be better.

Pro Dyno tuned
Dyno graph sucked out the window on test drive, but you can't read the graph when your head is pinned to the seat anyway. Very happy!

PF-Z's- $70 at Autozone with a lifetime warranty...you smoke them, they give you a new set for free no questions asked...

Hawk HPS- $90 and when you smoke them, you have to pay another $90 for a new set.

They are a similar pad but for the money alone, you can't beat the PF-Z. In my experience they aren't too bad on rotors.
