What color Red?

Random question...

Anyone know what Red colors Mustangs were painted in 1999 and 2000? Rio Red?

Were the Reds the same in both years?

Any websites listing available colors down through the years?

99 Red is Rio Red. I think it is different for the 2000R's.
Different again for 2001 and 2003.

Does Ford still sell the "fingernail" polish type touch-up paint (particularly in rio red)? Some retard took 3 chunks out of my driver side door and it needs a lil' fixin'...

I got a little can of the touch-up from Ford dealer. The one they say matches (and it's pretty close) is called "vermillion". But, they will know from the "rio red" description, year, make and model of your car. Costs about $6.

I'll have to give them a call this week and hopefully Crossroads has some and I can swing by there before the carolina stangs meet. This can you speak of, is it rather large? What I had before for my '95 was a little, like mascara size tube, that had the brush inside that you can dab, like fingernail polish. I hope that's not what you have, 'cuz $6 for that seems kinda out there for something that small..
