Thumbs up Radar/Laser Detector/Jammers

Wilbur wears an ESCORT SOLO Detector which picks up X, K, Ka radar as well as Laser signals. (www.escortradar.com)

He also wears 2, PHAZER II Laser & Radar Scramblers. (front&rear mounted). (www.auto-radar-jammers.com)

I am quite pleased with their performance, accuracy, and reliability! Like my American Express Card: "I don't leave home without them!"

I have a set of the same detectors/jammers in my 2001 VW Turbo Beetle "daily driver" as well.

I've been very pleased with my Cobra radar detector. It has a directional compass in it and audible voice warning feature.
No tickets yet in three years of driving my 99 Cobra 73000 miles.

Valentine is the best, so much better than escort/passport, and has laser. If you have laser in your area, you'll have to spring for a Lidatek laser jammer, as the detector just tells you you are dead [too late to save your self].

I have the Bel Vector 985 (I think) it was pretty costly, but well worth it! It has never failed me, and picks up k, ka, x, laser.. as well as trafic patterns/hazards, weather updates etc. Check out www.circuitcity.com thats where I got it. It has litterally saved me from 4 tickets in the 3 months I had it before putting the car away for the winter. the range is way better that both the valentine and cobra units I had before!

He's right. I've had many units over the years (passports, cobra's, bells) and it's the only one that tell's you how many and if they are in front or behind you or even to the side.

I have the remote display set in my gauge pod.

Radar/Laser Detectors

As with my MAC O/R Pipe, I was again pleased to learn that Wilbur is traveling with "low-end equipment" in the form of Escort Radar/Laser Detection products.

Be that as it may, I invite all, particularly those contemplating a high-dollar Radar/Laser Detector purchase, to read the test results for Escort, Valentine & BEL at www.radartest.com. Don't just "skim" over this. Read it carefully and see for yourself which unit REALLY IS the best in features/performance/reliability and piece of mind.

Save the Valentines & "wedding BEL's for your ladies.

Actually only two lasar jammers work the Escort worked best. In the radar detection the Bel had the best rating and Valentine one second BUT a very close third was the Escort and for the money is a very good buy! Looks like I'm going to go with the Escort Lasar Jammer and the Bel radar detector....BUT those are personal preferences!
