Which exhaust?

Time to think about exhaust... this car is waaaaayy too quiet. Any thoughts for the 03? pros and cons. have flows on the 97. don't want anything that hangs much lower, don't want to tear it off in the drive.....

You won't drag them off unless you lower the car more than 1.5 inches. I agree that the '03 is too quiet! I put on a full 3" exhaust on my '03 and have yet to scrape it on anything.

Lisa,
I have tried 2 different cat backs on my cobra, and I'll tell ya what my findings were. First I tried the Bassani 2.5 in cat back. It was louder than the stock one, it sounded alright, but very common. I did not care much for the fit/finish either. I then went to the MAC 3 in cat back and wow!!! what a difference. Very noticible power gains over both stock and bassani, sounds mean and distinctive!! I can no longer put it to the floor in first thru third till I'm at least 1/2 throttle or the tires just break free. I did not do a dyno before/after, but I will be doing it this summer. I'll be doing the changing right there at the shop to make sure it is a fair analysis of the two. and that is on an 01.... If it were me, and I had an 03... I'd just go strait for the 3" cat back, then a 3" pro chamber H pipe and watch out!

Lisa, the MAC states that it is 50 state legal for emmissions. If you remember how loud Thomas and Mike Morans car was at RA last year... well this is almost as loud, with a deeper tone. Their car is what made me really look for something different sounding from the rest, still legal, and that lets everyone know to look out, a snake is on it's way!

yeah, thats more what i am thinking; distinctive sound. not the 'no-master' sound that john is refering to. although that is very distinctive...
