another question- ideas on which CAI to go with? do i want to go with a k&n on this? have heard that maybe i don't, but no reason as to why.

The Denscharger came out first in the 5.0 mag tests. Of course the WMS wasn't tested. But any CAI you choose will help on the '03.

from what I've been hearing, the Dens tends to cause a lean mixture since it repositions the MAF sensor.
I think they may have a new model of the dens comming out soon which allows the adjustment of the MAF sensors position to help correct this prob. A 9" filter comming straight off the MAF without any bends is probably the best choice. use a plastic heat shield, of course, to keep the hot air away. Amazon Racing makes a pretty good one and so does Pauls Performance and several others. They all are pretty close in performance after you begin modding. |
