Arrow Ocean City MD Beach Cruise- August 9-10, 2003

SCMC Ocean City MD Beach Cruise- August 9-10, 2003 -- Ocean City, MD - This event will consist of cruising down to the beach, dinner, and a host of events to go to together that weekend.

Please email me (mustangresource@hotmail.com ) and/or post here if you plan to attend.
Please Include:
how many you expect to have with you
A cell phone # or local phone # at the beach (don't feel like you have to post these)
place where you plan to stay

This is a the big SCMC Northeast Kick-Off event and we plan to have a blast at the beach!

Here are the details:

Northeast Region - Please try to remember this was put together with short notice so you may not want to stay at the host hotel due to cost. At any SCMC event, please do not feel pressured to stay at the suggested hotel if it is a little high in cost for you. We know everyone is on a budget so if you know of a better closer place then by all means, contact the organizer and let them know. We want the best value for our members in everything.

Host Hotel:

Sleep Inn
1595 Highway One
Lewes, DE, 19958 (North edge of Rehoboth Beach)

Property Phone: (302) 645-6464
National Reservation Phone: (877) 424-6423
Online reservations and hotel information: www.choicehotels.com
Hotel website: http://www.rehobothsleepinn.com

Rates: AAA or AARP rate $170.10 per night / Gas, Food and Lodging rate $179.55 per night (comes with McDonald's certificate)
IMPORTANT: TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY ON SUMMER WEEKENDS!!
**Don’t wait to make your reservation; the rates will go up as the hotel fills up. **
** Note ** Please feel free to select another hotel of your choice. This is just the host hotel for a meeting place. **

Agenda
Saturday, August 9:

Free breakfast at the hotel (for guests) and first official meeting of the group at 8:00AM in the hotel lobby. ** We will go over the agenda and make any necessary adjustments at this time. **

Spend the morning on Rehoboth Beach and boardwalk (Go South on Rt 1 and follow signs)

Meet at the South boardwalk Grotto Pizza at 11:45 AM for lunch. There are THREE Grotto Pizzas in Rehoboth. You want the one between Wilmington Ave and Rehoboth Ave. If you are walking up Rehoboth Avenue towards the ocean, turn right on the boardwalk and Grotto Pizza is on the right past Candy Kitchen.

Meet at host hotel lobby at 4:30 PM to cruise to go cart track. Jungle Jims

Late afternoon cruise to dinner. What would the beach be without all-you-can-eat seafood!?! Rehoboth CrabBarn
As an alternative, we may do dinner at another crab house in Ocean City, depending on time and traffic.

After dinner cruise to OC boardwalk for the evening.

We do not have any events sceduled for Friday or Sunday, expecting most people will use that time for travelling or lying on the beach.

Thanks and I hope to see you at the beach!

Yeah, I know. I've kind of gotten used to 90% humidity and rain every day. If it doesn't rain everyday, it seems weird.
