03 Cobras Galore...

I went to Central Ford yesterday, and to my surprise, they had 9 03 Cobra's on the Lot. 3 of which were 10th anniversary edition (black, silver and I think red. I bet they sell for below MSRP now... When I bought my 01 from Central in August of 2001, they had NO 01's in stock and I had to wait for their next allocation to show up (which luckily was a MG like I had been looking for)

(p.s. the 10th anniversary has a couple real cool features, like: the Carbon Fiber lookin FR500 wheel, the Red painted Cobra Calipers.... to name a few BUT THE RIMS SUCK)

McRee Ford Too!

I was there Sat. morning to look at the Cobras. I was surprised to see 8 of them, 3 were anniversary models. They also had 3 Mach I's there. Tracy was trying to talk me into selling the 66 I bought and buying an 03 instead, WHAT A WOMAN!! I decided it's not the best thing for me now though. I really want the new body style so I'm prepared to wait and work on the 66. AND I agree with you on the wheels. They should have used the FR500 wheels, now those would have set it off.

Fun factor for the following vehicles on a scale of 1 to 10:

1964-1969: 10 but more prone for Nostalgia then go!
2003 -2004 Cobra: 25....Wow!

Just think David you are sitting there at a red light and some unsuspecting fool comes up next to you and says "what kind of car is that?"

With a smirky grin, you reply "It's an SVT Cobra"

Driver replies "Will it run?"

At that moment the light turns green and you lay a big posi mark right beside him. He then gets out of his car to see if his car is still running.

Face on the unsuspecting driver: Priceless!
Cobra ownership: Well if I have to tell you then never mind....

Ahhh yes!!.... But what about a 66 with a modern day driveline? As in mod motor!! That's my plan. I hope to start the transformation in early 2004. I've never worked with a pushrod engine, I am comfortable with the cammers. It will be fun, even more when you pop the hood!

I was at Tomball Ford this afternoon. No Cobras (that I saw), but they had a fleet of Mach 1's if you know anyone looking at those.
