Headlight Intensity

Either I'm getting old, or my stock '97 headlights are not very bright (most likely both). There is some hazing on the lenses and I have polished them somewhat, but the're still dimmer than I would prefer.

I want to retain the stock look. Has anyone used aftermarket lenses and/or bulbs with a noticeable improvement? I've seen some aftermarket ones advertised on eBay and dress-up catalogs, but I question the quality.

I had a cracked headlamp lense with the reflective material bubbling up inside. Ordered a new Ford Cobra headlamp from KarKraft http://www.karkraft.com . They still have them and they are even cheaper now at $119.
