shifter too far forward

As many of you probably already noticed, at least for me, the shifter is too far forward making me have to move the seat much father forward than I like. I already replaced the stock shifter with a Steeda and not much better at all. Actually my wrists are more sore. I was thinking of a different shifter knob, but really haven't seen one that I think will help much. Any and all suggestions would be really appreciated.

I thought the shifter was to far forward also and really hatedd it.

However; after a couple weeks I got used to it and it just seem right now.

Try the MGW adjustable shift handle it might just do the trick for you.

I have the MGW adjustable handle and it really makes a big difference in reaching the shifter. Especially nice with the extended seat tracks in the car.

Thanks a lot for suggesting the MGW shifter. It looks like it should help a lot. Say, did you get a different shifter knob also? or did you stick with stock?

Hey, Guys! This is great info. I thought the reason for my problem was being a small woman. It's comforting to know that men, also, have a problem with the shifter. I'm gonna talk to my husband about installing that MGW shifter for me.

all you really need is the handle from MGW. Super easy install, just 2 bolts. I run mine angled to me, as far back as it will go, and in the upper most position. My seats have been moved back 4" BTW. The other nice thing about the handle is that it reduces noise transmission from the shifter.

You can get a bushing kit from Pro 5.0 and use it to install your stock shifter handle. It sells for $10. If you have a lathe you can make your own. I made my own after I missed the 2-3 shift at FFW in VA. I have a Pro 5.0 shifter. I forgot just how tall the stock shifter was. When I put it back on it felt like a shifter on a 4x4. I've gotten used to it now. It does help on the track.
