All the suspension parts in my sig used to be on my 94 GT. Does anyone know why my GT would handle better than my Cobra? Cobra seems to ride better, not as harsh as the GT did with these exact components...all I did was transfer everything over to the snake...totally different handling characteristics. Is the Cobra heavier or lighter? It's just wierd.

Your Cobra engine is about 75-100lbs heavier (from what I've been told - I don't have actual numbers) than a 302. Since most of that weight resides over the front wheels, it could *feel* a bit different. More weight on the front will cause the front to push/understeer.
My hunch, however, is that your alignments are not the same. Do you know if the alignment you had done to the Cobra is the same that was on the GT? |

you say alignments? do you mean like how the springs are positioned? another difference is i had steeda plates on the gt and i have maximum plates on the snake...oh well, maybe i'll just get a coilover kit with a k member...that'll be totally different.

why would a cobra motor with aluminum block and heads be heaver than a GT Iron block 302? the alignment settings would have to do with the caster camber plates, and the steeda vs MM is pretty different.

well the mm would make for a better alignment so why would my handling suffer? the car just wants to jump around when i hit bumps and stuff, the gt never did that.

sounds like "bumb steer" . check MM's site for the adjustable tie rod ends.

i've had bumpsteer before, it's not that, it's like when i hit bumps in the road the shocks don't get the tires back down to the ground fast enough...if i hit abump going around a corner the car kinda hops out about an inch when it hits the bump.
