Great Price on Magnaflow Cat Back, eBay

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, been lurking for a little while. I purchased a 03 TR 10th Anv. Coupe last Saturday. Great car!

Of course I'm looking to add some mods and I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here but there is a great deal on Magnaflow Cat Back's on eBay. Search for item #2446940285

I ordered one today! The modding begins........

JUST WONDERING HOW DO THE TWO CARS COMPARE ?

ALSO I ORDERED THE EXHAUST ( THANKS ) BIG SAVINGS !

HAVE YOU INSTALLED YOURS YET? AND DOES IT SOUND GOOD? ONE MORE QUESTION. HOW MUCH HP GAIN DO WE SEE FROM THE CAT BACK SYSTEM?

At this time the two cars are very different. The Viper has all the usual bolt on goodies and besides the silencer being removed on the Cobra, it is stock. Needless to say the Cobra feels slow compared to the Viper. But making the Cobra as quick as the Viper in a straight line will be very easy to do.

Your welcome on the exhaust tip, that's why we're here online to help each other. Mine was shipped today so I won't see it for a few days, I'll get it installed shortly thereafter. I'm not sure how much performance we'll get out of just a Cat Back. I'm sure there are a few ponies there but we'll need all the complimentary accessories to go with the Cat Back.....CAI, Predator/Chip, X Pipe, Pulley....etc.

I just replied to Scott about the exhaust, I'm hoping for a tracking # so I'll know when to expect the exhaust. I'm hoping to see it by Friday, time will tell.

OK SO YOU BOUGHT YOURS 12/8/03, I JUST ORDERED MINE THIS MORNING AFTER I READ YOUR POST. I HAD BEEN SPEAKING TO A LOCAL MUFFLE SHOP, AND FOR THE MAGNAFLOW CAT BACK THEY WANTED $ 600 ,SO I JUMPED ON THE ORDER!

YOU SAY YOU REMOVED YOUR SILENCER, IS THERE A TRICK TO GETTING IT OUT OF THE FENDER WELL. WE BOUGHT A STEEDA HIGH AIR/ COLD AIR KIT $199 AND HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT YET BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE STOCK GOES PRETTY FAR INTO THE FENDER WELL. SCOTT SAYS MY SYSTEM SHOULD BE DELIVERED THURSDAY OR FRIDAY. I,M IN MEMPHIS TN. I PLAN ON INSTALLING THE HIGH AIR WHEN I INSTALL THE EXHAUST. WE ALSO BOUGHT A GRILL SNAKE FROM STEEDA , THEY HAVE PRETTY GOOD STUFF ALTHOUGH A LITTLE PRICY. NEXT WE WILL MAYBE GO TO HIGH FLOW CATS AND X PIPE, AND STOP THERE FOR A WHILE. I DON'T WANT TO PUSH THE WARENTY SO WE ARE GOING TO WAIT ON PULLEY AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

You won't have any problem getting the silencer off, you'll be removing it with the airbox anyway. Very easy job.
