Question Deck Lid Mat for Mustang, Need Information

Hello Mustang owners, I am looking for some information on 1997 to 2004 Mustang Models. If you could please read the post.

I make Deck Lid mats for the Grand Am, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Impala and Corvette.

My brother has a 97 and his son has a 2002. I was not sure what years are the same deck lid. If you could answer this post it would help a lot.

I have called several dealers but I get so many answers its not funny and before I can have them added to a website for sell I need to make sure the people are getting the right item for there model.

Thanks Phil Madren of Grand Design.

I would post a pic, but not sure how on this site.

what is a "deck lid mat"? Are we talking rear window shelf on a coupe?

The Deck Lid mat goes in the TRUNK, mounts on the Trunk Lid, There is a small pic under my name of a mat that fits the 90-96 Grand Prix GT.

Can you make a hood liner to be used for show only. This is what I really want for 03 cobras that get wet and moldy factory hood liners.

I make them for the Grand Prix, for show only. They dont take the heat from a Engine to good.

Yes, for show only, and yes I am a genius. It's not easy to make a four assed monkey you know.

Actually, I have seen these before. You just use the existing grommets to hold it in place, and put a big giant snake or somethig cool on the inside. All you really need to do is pull your current hood liner as a pattern and find someone who can sew.

Phil, some guys in Houston have done a decklid mat on their mustangs and I've seen them in person. I really like the look of them as they clean up the trunk and give it some pizazz. Could you possibly make one with a raised Snake or "SVT"??? If the price is right I'd consider buying.

I will getting another pattern this weekend for the 99-2004 Mustang. I will make a few temp mats to get some pics to show.

On the hood mats, they are no problem making as long as you make them for "SHOW" only. You have to get a special material to put under the hood due to heat if you plan on running the car with it. I have seen a few people install fabric under there and the next thing you know they have a nice COOK OUT ....
