Z28 VS Cobra

2 of my friends want to line them up. One has a 1994 Z-28 all stock and the other has a 2002 GT. we are going to ATL to the track. i was wanting to know some stories about results you guys have had when racing these cars. Should they be talking this much trash? ha ha

You said stock vs stock. So I bet on the GT! But somehow I doubt those cars are totally unmolested stock??

Anyway, there is Bristol dragway too.

Later Dude....

From my personal experience, you should smoke both of them. My friend has a 94 Z28 vert, automatic. He has Moroso cold air, some TB airfoil thing, and flowmasters as his only mods. We have never really raced with my cobra, because we both know what will happen. But we did run when i had my 91 GT Hatch, and that was almost a dead even race, but i did have quite a bit more bolt ons on that car than he does. Make sure you get a good launch because if you make a mistake that LT1 will catch you. They are pretty strong motors in the higher RPM. As for the GT, only 260 HP stock if my memory serves me. The LT1 in the Z has 275. Have them race, race the winner and turn his smile around...

Those stupid enough to bash the Cobra REALLY make me laugh. I wouldn't even think twice about takin both of them on under those conditions. Most people in their right mind would still respect a bone-stock Cobra, and those that don't really leave me wondering WTF are they are actually thinkin! Granted that a new Cobra or Z28 would be a greater challenge (or possiable massacre), but coming from honda and chevy owners, these kinda people seem to really be out of their league. As for the GT and Z28, take both um on, and then do share the results!
