smked a new turbo carrera

Had my first stop light challange. Another old fart like me with a very pretty silver turbo carrera next to me at the light we give each other a wink and a nod and hit it on the green light. this was a perfect stretch of road a divided four lane with no houses or crossroads for a mile. I went too deep in first and hit the limiter I had him by a length at that point My kenne bell was screaming and I continued to walk away I had 3-4 car lengths on him when I slowed it down after I hit 140. That blower pulls all the way to redline with no drop off. He looked a little shocked at the next light. He had been beaten by 45 k worth of all american metal on 93 octane

Those are the kinda races that are actaully worth yur time.......as opposed to the sore losing teenagers who flick ya off and then tailgate you until they fishtail off a side road (which of course, makes them look cool then... ). All I can do is

Cool! It is good to see that there is good manners in the sport of it. It is nice once in a while to make toast out of those over priced German imports. It is far less often I have ever been given the thumbs up for a good challenge. The only time I ever got one was from another Mustang owner. I usually avoid those teen age kids due to lack of driving experience and fear thay will hit you or cause an accident because they did not think of the "what if's"
