94 Pace Car appraisal documentation

Hey guys....I'm new here but look forward to chattin it up. I own a 94' Indy pace car with 19000 mi on it. I have a questions for you guys: A possible buyer for the car wants "official documentation" to be convinced to pay more than the $11,000 blue book value. Is there somewhere where I can get a print out showing that it is a rare car, and that a pace car in excellent condition is worth x amount of $s. All I'm asking is $15,800 and this guy is breaking my balls. It wasn't enough that I showed him print outs of other similar cars like it going for $19-22K. Any suggestions??? I would put him off but I haven't been getting many other serious offers.

I paid 16K for my Pace car (#22) and it had 9390 miles on it. I think the price you are asking is very reasonable but a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

If it were me, I'd tell him "thanks but no thanks" and let him move on to try and find another with low mileage like that. The first day I brought my car home, someone in the parking lot of a grocery store tried to buy it from me. Move on to the next buyer and let him go find another one somewhere else.

If you act desperate then he'll keep busting your you know what. Good luck!

For documentation, call 1-800-FORD SVT.

Tony

I don't know but I can honestly say that you are the only Mike in the SCMC that owns a 1997 Pacific Green Cobra Convertible....

Psst... I checked the records.

Hey Tony...that is kinda funny that we have the same name and rare car. I usually go by Anthony...same thing though

Quick question??? I know that the 1000 repica pace cars came with the 96-97 style rims with the black trim. My rims are not like this though, they are shinny chrome plated with a horse center cap. The previous owner insisted that is how he got the car from the showroom floor, even though I told him that it probably wasn't original. Have you heard of any pace cars coming with different rims, like a special edition or something???????

Tony,

The only people that call me Anthony are my mother, brother, and sisters. Everyone else calls me Tony.

Your wheels are not the right ones so someone changed them. Don't get fooled about the stock wheels either. They are not the same color as the 96/97 wheels. They have a different shade to them.
