Cool

I might be able to offer you the back seats out of a 98 Cobra when I do my Rear Seat Delete Kit. They are black leather...and I would say in good condition as they have rarely been sat on since I prefer no one to ride back there. Let me know if you are interested and we can work out a price. I am in Maryland so, not to sure about the shipping.

I have to wait until tonight hopefully. Hopefully meaning I will get my Cobra back from the bodyshop! Then we can try out the mustang seats in the hot rod. So, I might be interested but I will know more in the next couple of days. I live in South Carolina but I am in Maine until the end of the month so I could possibly pick some up on the way down.
Thanks,
Thomas

97WhiteSnake...what was your car in the bodyshop for?

Let me know and I will get the rear set out and ready for you. That would be fine as it would take that long for me to get my RSD kit. Although even if it's not here yet I will take them out..I don't drive the car everyday so, it does not matter if the seats are in there or not.

I am having a few spots on my front bumper fixed plus filling in the licence plate bracket mounting hole (then repaint whole bumper). Plus painting my side mirrors to match the car and painting my new sidepipe covers, new side scoops, and the new S281 spoiler. The front bumper was starting to show that the car has 113 thousand miles on it plus I've been wanting to fill in those holes for like 5 years! I will let you know wether or not I need the seats. I won't be getting my car until tomorrow now. Later

Oh..lot's of goodies. What side scoops did you get? I was thinking of getting some for mine too as I will be repainting the whole car later this year. I am adding the Saleen S351 wing to my car when it gets repainted and getting the side views painted to match.

No problem on the seats...just let me know. I will order my rear seat delete kit as soon as I know.

I have the Classic Designs scoops. I've always like the look of them but never really liked how wide open they are from the front. I found some aluminum that looks excactly like the black inserts in the hood skirts and I fabbed up some pieces to fill the scoop opening. I had them powder coated (black) and molded them in the inside of the scoop. So know the new side scoop look just like the factory hood scoops. I'm REALLY happy with the way it looks on the car. I got my car back and it is all jacked up. I will cut and past a post from another board explaining the whole thing. Later

"Not good at all! They didn't fix a couple of things on the bumper-missed a spot that they did fix with the paint gun-DID NOT MASK OFF THE LOWER GRILL OPENING SO NOT I HAVE A WHITE RADIATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -huge paint runs on sidepipe covers-looks like they dropped and chipped one of the side scoops THEN JUST PAINTED OVER THE CHIP-really jacked up the spoiler...looks like they drilled a hole in the center of where the double sided tape goes to hold the spoiler on the car and hung it with a screw..I THINK THIS CHANGED THE SHAPE OF THE SPOILER B/C IT LOOKS BOWED NOW- huge glob of paint on one of the four pionts on the front TOP of the spoiler- and since they hung it upside down there isn't enough paint on those four points so you can still see the dark fiberglass-basically its a mess! I'm mostly pissed about the radiator/everything behind my bumper being coverd in paint! I guess I'm mainly pissed about the whole situation. I called and talked to them before I noticed most of the things includine the radiator and the manager said to bring it in Monday. So basically I would have been bett off not picking it up. This sucks, I wanted the paint to have a couple of weeks of curing time before I hit the road.
WILL HAVING PAINT ON THE RADIATOR EFFECT IT IN ANY WAY??
Thanks for listening!"

I'm going tomorrow to buy a cheap/not so pretty rear seat out of a 95 mustang thats sitting in a junk yard. I want to modify it before I start hacking up a good seat! I'll update tomorrow after I fab up the junk seat.

I will let you know tomorrow Lisa! I might have to have you flown in. You can be my "problem solver". I'll tell the body shop that I know you and they might just take care of my car!!!

Cool

Sorry to hear about your issues with the paint. I had the same experience with a painter here in Maryland. Oddly enough he restores and builds hot rods with near flawless paint work...yet when he did my car..I think I could have done better and I have never even touched a paint gun!! Now, I have to get the whole car repainted...and by someone else. I went round and round with him..decided it just was not worth it any more.

Let me know how the seat thing goes!
