some AWESOME OPEN TRACK VIDEOS!! (includes a cobra R)

(Major Dial-up warning)
Here are TWO AWESOME VIDEOS with a heavily modified RX-7 and a Cobra R.

KickA$$ editing in this video
http://64.158.28.140/MPEG/TwinVision/mam_5_1_2004.mpg (10.8 MB)

Nice Split screen, taking turns chasing (notice the two pass everything in sight)
http://64.158.28.140/MPEG/TwinVision...spltscreen.mpg (50 MB )

the rest

SCMC had an event there at Mid-America a couple of years ago. Tony, Big Daddy, Poolman, Ken Walter, Brian and I were among the players. Great track, lots of runoff space, like VIR, but a bit shorter. Council Bluffs, Iowa police use the track for training their officers. I've seen the video of them chasing a Cobra around the track, but not catching it.

Very Nice, considering my Cobra just went into hybernation/surgery for
the winter.

Did anyone notice how much steering wheel input the Mazda
required to negotiate the same corners as the Cobra R. The R required
damn near twice the wheel turn to make the same corner. That's
exactly what I don't like about my Cobra, too much wheel work.

The guy in the Cobra R is a good friend of mine from Wisconsin.

I ran with him at MidAmerica in Iowa a couple of years ago. He was just purchasing his R at that time and I gave him his very first ride inside an R.

Since that time, he has heavily modified his R and become a VERY good driver!!
