MGW Shifter installed.... Tri-AX shifter removed... ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!

First off, I would like to thank Phil for helping with the install. I just couldn't wait to get home to install it, so we just started the install in the Sam's Parking lot and then made short trip as tool requirements arose.

All I can say is WOW

My car had gotten quite noiser and noisier with the progressions of the suspension mods, and naturally, I was blamming the urethane bushing and other suspension piece for all the noise. At times, I could not even listen to the radio at a low volume without it getting drowned out by noises from the car. Was I surprised to find out as it turns out, it might have been the shifter after all.

Well, after we yanked the Tri-Ax, and installed the MGW. I was AMAZED to find out, all of the noise went away as far as I can tell. It sounds crazy, but I guess all the noise was being transfered into the car via the shifter (obviosly the progression of stiffer suspension pieces yielded more noise throw the shifter). It might sound crazy, but thems the facts..

The MGW shifter is at least as quiet if not quieter than stock. The drive home, was, well, peaceful. I had the radio turned to a very low volume, and I could hear it perfectly well, that, and the exhaust as the gas pedal was modulated.

This is my little comparison between the tri-ax and the MGW.

• Tri-AX was real noisy-MGW is dead quiet
• Tri-AX was not as sloppy as stock, but still had issues-MGW is SOLID with NO SLOP. After comparing the MGW was AS big an improvement over the Tri-Ax, as the Tri-Ax was over stock
• Tri-Ax helped not miss gears, but still had issues-MGW seams alot more presice... the word that comes to mind... is .. CRISP. Going to third, the tri-ax still showed to have issue knowing exactly where the gear was, all that is gone in the MGW... CLICK.. third
• Tri-Ax had shorter throws than stock-MGW.. man the throws are REAL short... I almost can't tell its a Mustang.
• Tri-Ax straight forward good craftmanship-MGW superb craftsmanship, almost too pretty to install. All pieces show to be top quality material, all tools to adjust and the shifter and handle are included. The only thing needed is a socket for the 4 main bolts, which, you also get a fresh pair of those with the shifter.
• Tri-Ax needed the liquid silicone, or a silicone gasket purchase-MGW comes with its own silicone gasket.
• Tri-Ax handle was sturdy, but had wierd giometry with the handle sitting to the left of the main shaft- MGW handle rotates around the center, giving it a more commandind feel overall.
• DID I MENTION HOW QUIET IT IS
