Charlotte, NC Meet in January

As most of you can tell, I've been really busy lately with the Holidays and work but I'm going to find out about having a get together at Victory Lane Karting in January. They have new go karts that are supposed to be a lot faster then the previous ones. Afterwards, I'd like to have a "Carolina Meet" so we can discuss the 2005 seasons' events and open up a forum for any member to ask questions, give suggestions, or just a chance to get together. Nothing has been done yet as far as reservations but I'll get the information together for everyone. I'm thinking January 8, 2005 with dinner at Carlo's Italian Restaurant unless some one else knows of a better meet place that can accommodate at least 20 - 30 people?

Your thoughts??

Sounds like fun. Should be able to go as long as the weather doesn't intervene.

Victory Lane is indoor, and the best karting you will come across, in my opinion. One word sums that place up......FAST!

So far, this is the list I have of people attending:

Burke Dawson (Beverly?)
Tony Sorrentino
Jason Herd and Lan
Mike & Tina Boyle
Scott Allan
Greg Oswell
David Lewis
Matt Crutchfield

Here is what they will set up for us:

3 races - 1 practice, 1 qualifier, 1 actual race. (6 min, 8 min, 10 min) or you can run more for $5.00 more.

The cost is $50.00 per person. They can have as many as 13 carts on the track at one time and they have the new 9 hp engines which I hear are very fast and can reach speeds of 35 mph. If you have your own helmet then I would suggest bringing it with you. All of this is set up on a 1/3 mile road course!

Also, we'll eat Italian afterwards and have a meeting to discuss the 2005 events. I'll update the list as we get people signing up!
