And then, depression set in...

Another day, another dollar. I just came in from La Paz yesterday off a 15 hour job, so I've been out of pocket for a week. Sorry for the unanswered messages, but alas, work does prevail...heh. Last contact I had was with Firme this weekend, you people were in Baytown, my plans were rerouted over to HMP at the last second for a 12k race that didnt materialize...they wanted none of our LUV truck for some reason. Check out www.hotrodgossip.com, read the posts. We were the "Evadale Invaders" there. .
Anyway, came in day before yesterday, needed to drop off an 8.8 out of a 2004 Mach 1 at Pyle Bros in Baytown to get the 9" clips welded onto the ends to set up my rearend for my Cobra. I guess hemmorhaging this cash is making me senile. As usual, they did an excellent job. I ask myself, why buy a new Cobra and do this? Well...the record for a Cobra is 9.20 or 9.30 in the 1/4 mile. I want to do this and remain streetable. Yeppers, I want to drive it the 100 miles on Tuesdays from Beaumont and still run these times on the strip. Oh, forgot, thats 200 miles roundtrip. So I tossed another 10k into the mix based on Transmission, rearend setup to do it.
To quote our illustrious friend Mr. Rodgers (JIMMYSIDECAR!!), can you say insanity? Sure, I knew you could...heh. Anyway, sorry to be out of pocket, and I am from time to time depending on work schedule out of pocket, and drinking due to expenditures, but I am always around.
Jesus, you guys should see the parts list, check it out.

I'm sure there is stuff I forgot, dont feel like reading bills, makes me ill...it IS afterall a 2004 Cobra with 1400 miles on it...

I, as you have at this point surmised, am an adrenaline junkie. Straight line acceleration. I have parts for sale. I will buy a 2007 Cobra. Yeah, like this will be streetable within a year... D0h... I have a bunch of parts for sale, stock parts as well, as you can see. This 2004 Cobra is rapidly becoming less and less streetable. Guess what? I learned 90% of it on these forums. Best bang for the buck you can get here.

Read and learn.

I'm looking to COOK the 9.20 record for straight mile acceleration with a stock block Cobra. I'll do everything I can to do it without lifting a valve cover OFF the spray. Really. My next step is head massaging, cam work. I should run pretty hard within that realm before i just cant wait and work the heads and get some custom ground cams. I really want to accomplish this without opening the stock motor.

Did I say that a 9.20 - 9.30 in the 1/4 mile is the record on a stock block?!

Guess what guys? I'll DRIVE this puppy (when I'm finished) 200 miles round trip to Houston to our next Tuesday, or show. Yep, I know. You guys and gals think i'm crazy, but hey, I'm on a mission from god....heh. The 2003 - 2004 Cobras are factory built, forged from the factory, so i'm exercising my right to do it I feel a 9 second Cobra should remain fully streetable and I want to prove it off the spray. Just my opinion. (Hey, if I need to spray it, Ford Motor Company building the bottom end the way they did, totally forged, they did allow me this option. If it explodes, I'll build a stroked modular.) I live for straight line acceleration.

The excellent people at www.trianglespeedshop.com helped me accomplish this. Sharp people, within 110 miles of all of you.

I know you guys love and LIVE for the open course. I'll say SVTCobraClub.com at the end of the 1/4 mile. LOVE YA!!

Oh shite...i forgot to say...DAMN all you SCMC girls and guys for making me want to prove I can do this!!!

No place else have I met a nicer bunch of people. Sincerely.

GOT TORQUE?

You probally do not need the Boost-a-Spark, Can not hurt to have it though.
You should add a larger fuel line from the tank to the rails, imo!
Watch the forums, when Jerry Wroblewski or Chris Johnson of Superchips Custom Tuning comes back to Beaumont for a dyno day, I will post it, you should dump the Predetor and let them either give you several tunes on their handheld unit or reflash your computer, you will not be disappointed. Chris J. has a N/A late model stang putting over 900 to the wheels

I already added the larger fuel line from the tank. I dumped the Predator after the first 3 days. I have already heard of them, yeppers I agree totally. My guy here with the SCT tune is so far on the money, agreed.

Thats why the Predator is for sale...good for a stock Eaton with a pulley, nowhere near where i'm setting old man

I forgot to add I'm running a flipchip for stock tune, pump gas/tune with the ProCharger/racing gas...my bad. Again, I'm running out of the norm.

We could have our own swap meet with left over parts
Or just build a body in white back to stock with left overs
It really is not a matter

Also the Beaumont Dyno is on the fritz at present. I can set up an SCT tune on a Mustang Dyno currently for the same pricing. If your looking for a numbers hunt, wont count. Excellent tune however.

I hate you...yes, your correct. I have told Daniel this. We looked at outlaw bodies this weekend at Houton Motorsports Park. I feel like im a bastard child doing this to a new 2004 cobra. He told me well, 9.20's? ummmm mkay, what do you want to do?

Guess what I said...

Beat me, bite me, f**k me, make me write bad checks...i really can't help but love this guy. damn

jimmie

Bad thing, he's sharp as a tack. I want to toss him checks, but he keeps refusing my money. He really wants to set it up correctly .

Think you need to go find a donor body and put in all your take off parts and have yourself a daily beater And, don't quit your day job!
