Texas Driver Magazine

The name of the magazine I was talking about at Starbucks is Texas Driver Magazine. I tihnk this what David or someone told me about. I looked for it on newstands, but could not find it. I told mywife about it, and since she is the best wife ever, she found it online and got me a subscription.

I only have 1 issue, but I like it. It is called the Carroll Shelby Issue, and has a few stories on the man and his cars. They also have car reviews of the new mustang and corvette, and some location stories on towns and the Aston Martin dealershipo in Dallas.

In the back they have a section called event coverage, with each event getting a paragraph of text and 4-6 photos. Events shown are:

Texas track & Concorso MSR Dallas, Oc 30
IRL chevy 500, TMS, Oct 15
Unique Performance Fest Oct 16
Texas Mile Oct 8-10
Along with a few car shows and some other events

The very back has a calender of events, and asks for submission of events from car clubs. A number of driver's edge, SCCA and other event's are listed.

The web site is www.texasdrivermagazine.com

My step-dad gets that magazine....I have no idea why, but I steal it regardless. It's a good magazine, amazing the amount of wealth some of these guys have and their garages. There's an article about the Big Bend road race my old boss saw and wants to do in his '96 Vette. I told him to bring it on....
